VA Repossessed properties are homes that were financed with VA Government Insured Loans, and have gone through foreclosure for one reason or another. The Government takes title to these properties through foreclosure and then contracts with local Real Estate Agents through a company called OCWEN to market the homes to the public.
VA Repossessed properties differ from straight Bank Repos or other lender owned properties as they might have special financing available, and they require unique forms in order to make an offer to purchase. The new statewide forms are not acceptable, and if your agent does not know the proper format to submit an offer, there is a good chance that they will not respond to your offer at all, allowing someone else to purchase the property.
