There are a number of reasons why banks repossess homes, starting with the buyers inability to make the payments or repay the loan in full. If a property is a repossessed home and is listed, we do not have any "Short Sale" issues, and you can make offers on these homes with a reasonable response time expected.
Banks often times respond to legitimate offers within 3 to 5 business days, depending on the situation.
Bank Repossessed properties are listed by active Realtors, and can be found in your normal searching of the MLS. However, I can search for only bank or lender owned properties, and email you the information so you don't have to search for hours on end trying to find what you are looking for.
